Some moments in real estate go far beyond contracts and keys—they touch the heart. Recently, I experienced one of those moments right here in Shalimar Pointe. Eight years ago, when my husband Rob and I moved into this beautiful neighborhood, we were welcomed with open arms by our next-door neighbors. They even hosted a Welcome to the Neighborhood party for us, making us feel instantly at home.
Yesterday, the story came full circle. After years of friendship and neighborly support, I had the honor of helping those same neighbors sell their home. Being chosen as their REALTOR® was not just a professional privilege, but a deeply personal one. It’s a unique joy to guide friends through such an important transition—and it’s a reminder of how community and trust are at the heart of every successful sale.
We approached the sale with care, making sure the home showed beautifully and was priced right from the start. Thanks to thoughtful preparation and teamwork, we were under contract in just 10 days! It’s proof that when you combine expertise with genuine care, great things happen.
For anyone considering selling, here are a few lessons from this journey:
- Presentation matters: Taking time to stage and highlight your home’s best features can make a world of difference.
- Price it right: An informed, realistic price attracts serious buyers and helps your home sell quickly.
- Lean on your community: Neighbors can be your biggest supporters, from sharing your listing to offering encouragement.
Saying goodbye to wonderful neighbors is always bittersweet, but I’m grateful for the memories we’ve shared and the trust they placed in me. This experience is a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do—helping people move forward, while cherishing the connections we’ve built along the way.
Wishing my dear neighbors all the best in their next chapter. You will be missed, but the bonds of community will always remain.
